Carol Gruber is a board-certified women’s health nurse practitioner. She earned a Bachelor’s degree and Master of Science degree at Virginia Commonwealth University. She is a member of the Virginia Council of Nurse Practitioners, Nurse Practitioner's in Women's Health and the Association of Women's Health, Obstetrics, and Neonatal Nursing. 

Carol has extensive experience in the areas of women’s health and high-risk obstetrics having worked at Henrico Doctors’ Hospital on the gynecological surgical and high-risk antepartum unit for the last 12 years. She is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center in perinatal nursing.

She is an advocate for women and is passionate about promoting the health and welfare of women of all ages. She is an advocate for victims of domestic violence and their children. In addition, she has lectured at the University of Virginia on concerns specific to young women's health issues.

Carol's son is pursuing a degree in musical theatre at James Madision University and she also has a daughter who recently graduated from UVA. Carol and her husband enjoy attending concerts, the theatre and college football games.
