Christiana Gallup is a board-certified family nurse practitioner who now specializes in women’s health. She earned a Bachelor’s of Science in nursing from the University of Florida in Gainesville and holds her Master’s of Science in nursing from Virginia Commonwealth University. Christiana joined Virginia Women’s Center in the fall of 2006.
In addition to her obstetrics and gynecology expertise, Christiana’s training as a family nurse practitioner includes pediatrics and geriatrics. The combination makes her ideally suited for understanding the emotional demands of many women today who care for their children and often aging parents. Christiana is also a trusted provider with teens and young women. She enjoys teaching and being involved in patient education.
Prior to joining Virginia Women’s Center, Christiana spent many years as a registered nurse on VCU's high risk labor and delivery unit, she later served as the unit educator. In 2006, Christiana was on the management team involved in the opening of Bon Secours’ newest hospital. In this capacity, she helped to develop the mission and goals for the labor/delivery/ postpartum/recovery and newborn unit and set practice standards and guidelines.
Christiana comes from a large extended Greek family and has strong family roots in Florida. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling with her husband, Josh, throughout the United States and Europe. She also likes gardening, hiking, yoga, photography and watching SEC football.
