Donna I. Pinnell, W.H.N.P.-B.C.

Donna Pinnell is a registered nurse and a board-certified women's health nurse practitioner nurse practitioner at the John Rolfe office of Virginia Women's Center.

Donna completed her nursing education at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, Foresterhill College in Aberdeen Scotland. She completed her degree as a nurse practitioner at Medical College of Virginia. She is also certified by the National Certification Corporation for Obstetric, Gynecologic and Neonatal Nursing Specialists. Prior to joining Virginia Women's Center, Donna was district director for the Nurse Practitioner Association and was involved in promoting the role of the nurse practitioner as well as improved access to health care for consumers.

Donna has more than 25 years of clinical experience in Women’s Healthcare. In the past she has worked in student health services, and has taught childcare classes. Today she works with women to help them gain optimal gynecologic health. She is an exceptional educator on issues related to menopause and health promotion. She is also an active provider in our clinical research team.

Donna and her husband have a garden of vegetables as well as herbs and perennials. They also enjoy playing golf. Donna looks forward to visiting family in Scotland every few years. She also enjoys reading and quilting.
