Dr. Hirata enjoys helping all her patients manage their health to the best of their ability. Certain circumstances in life, however – such as high-risk pregnancies and multiple gestation births – require expertise she enjoys providing.
At work and outside of work, Dr. Hirata shares similar athletic interests with Dr. Buettner. The two women typically run in the annual Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. Currently Dr. Hirata is training for the Richmond Marathon. She and her husband stay active by skiing, hiking and traveling with their two young boys, and participating in activities at Trinity Methodist Church.
