Access Now

Virginia Women’s Center physicians participate with Access Now. Before Access Now, staff at Richmond free clinics and health centers made personal pleas to physician specialists and hospital administrators to take on cases too complex for clinic care. Recognizing the inefficiency of such piecemeal efforts, a group of Richmond health professionals in 2006 began investigating ways to create a streamlined system to bring together altruistic health care providers with patients falling through the nation's threadbare safety net.

CrossOver Health Centers

Since 1989, CrossOver Ministry has provided medical clinics at diverse locations to reach people who cannot travel to the main clinic.

The health center is located on Cowardin Avenue in the Blackwell/Bainbridge neighborhood of south Richmond. Virginia Women’s Center physicians Karin Buettner and Heather Zechman volunteer monthly.

Pregnancy Resource Center

The Pregnancy Resource Center of Metro Richmond is committed to providing compassionate care to women unprepared for pregnancy by offering resources and practical assistance for life-affirming choices. Dr. Alice Hirata volunteers with the PRC.
